SPALLUMCHEEN, British Columbia (October 6, 2024) – The Realtors® at RE/MAX Vernon Salt Fowler® held their 15th annual Pumpkin Patch Day including pumpkin picking and charity fundraising event at the Pumpkin Patch on St. Annes Road on Sunday, October 6, 2024. In addition to providing hot dogs, Tim Horton’s hot chocolate and coffee, treats for the kids, face painting and and coupons for free pumpkins, RE/MAX Vernon Salt Fowler provided hope for those struggling to afford North Okanagan rents by raising $1740 in matched donations for the Okanagan Village Housing Society.

“This year the weather didn’t cooperate quite as much as previous, however the generosity of our community continues to be amazing.” said Salt, one of the founders of Salt Fowler. “This year we changed our focus to raising money for the Okanagan Village Housing Society’s “A Place To Call Home” fundraising campaign. As local Realtors, we see first hand the challenge of housing affordability. We are all excited about the 96 units being built to help these individuals and families have exactly that - a place to call home – and happy to play a small part in that project becoming a reality.” The group personally prepared and served over 15 dozen hot dogs, plus treats for kids, coffee and hot chocolate to their past and current clients as well as other visitors to the Pumpkin Patch on that day, indicative of their commitment to personalized service in business as well as to charity.

Salt Fowler has a history of giving back to their clients and to the community. This year local businesses such as Caufield’s Engraving, Tim Horton’s, Helmut’s Sausage Kitchen, Kal Tire, Buy Low Foods, Beach Radio and Teeter Totter Toys joined Salt Fowler in supporting Pumpkin Patch Day with contributions to support this annual local event.
